Description

Join DSHS Senior Advisor for Programs & Policy, Babs Roberts, for a training on the impacts of H.R. 1 on SNAP, with a focus on work requirements, qualifying participation activities, and verification and documentation. The session will provide practical guidance for food banks and community organizations on how to support clients navigating these requirements, with a deeper dive into volunteer activities and the Workfare program, including clarification on how organizations can host volunteers without becoming approved Workfare providers and what organizations need to know to participate in the Workfare program. This training is supported by the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) through its Statewide Technical Assistance and Training Grant.
