Monday, July 28, 2025 | 12:00–1:00 PM | Virtual (Zoom) Join the Washington Food Coalition for an informative and practical virtual Lunch & Learn session focused on Washington’s Community Solar Expansion Program and how it can support energy savings and sustainability for food banks and pantries across the state. This session will feature: Morgan Nielsen from the WSU Energy Program, who will walk us through key aspects of the solar incentive program, including eligibility, application timelines, installation and additional considerations for programs interested in participating across Washington. Jay Wehmeyer, Vice President of Grocery Operations at FISH Community Food Bank in Ellensburg, who will share firsthand insights from FISH’s experience participating in the program - from the decision-making process to post-installation benefits. Whether you're curious about solar, considering a project, or looking to hear from peers already participating, this is a great opportunity to learn more and ask questions in an informal setting. Who should attend: Food bank staff, pantry leads, board members, and community partners interested in renewable energy, sustainability, or long-term cost savings for their organization. Questions?
