Description
This training will provide an overview of key food safety requirements relevant to food banks and community food programs. Participants will learn about current foodborne illness trends, labeling requirements, and the critical roles of the Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) and Person in Charge (PIC). The session will also cover time and temperature controls, including best practices for maintaining the chain of custody when receiving food. Presenters from Public Health – Seattle & King County and our Board Member and the Program Director from the Meals Partnership Coalition, Jason Austin, will share practical guidance and answer participant questions.
