Description
Public Funding Leadership Series (Live Virtual Training)
The Washington Food Coalition, in partnership with the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) Food Assistance Program and Nancy Bacon of the Nonprofit Learning Center, is pleased to offer the Public Funding Leadership Series as a live virtual training opportunity.
This four-part series fulfills the WSDA training requirement for agencies that are not obtaining an audit and is designed for Executive Directors, board members, and other nonprofit leaders responsible for stewarding public funds. While anyone is welcome to attend, completion will only be reported to WSDA for participants who meet the attendance requirements.
Throughout the series, participants will strengthen their understanding of:
- Leadership
- Compliance
- Financial Management
- Risk Management
Using real-world examples and practical tools, participants will build the knowledge and systems needed to responsibly manage public funding within their organizations.
How to Receive a Certificate
Participants have two options to receive credit:
- Complete all four live sessions, or
- Complete the entire on-demand Public Funding Leadership Series.
Participants who attend the live series must attend all four sessions and introduce themselves in the Zoom chat at the beginning of each session using their full name and organization. This attendance verification is required in order to receive a certificate.
Please note that while recordings of the live sessions will be shared as a resource, watching recordings does not count toward attendance or certificate eligibility.
Registration for this event includes access to all four live sessions. There is no need to register separately for each session.
